If you have a photo of you or your kids latest trophy and would like to post it.
Email a copy of it to me here at:
Several of our member recently participated as guides in FWC sponsored youth quota hunt. All the kids got to see birds and several were able to get their first Osceola turkey. The album above contains some photos of the event. If you click on the photos in the album you will get a full size photo that can be downloaded. I am going to post some additional photos of the kids that got birds, so if you are a family member check back.
As a club we were excited to be able to be part of this hunting experience for these young hunters. We hope to be involved in more. I will update this soon with more details but I am missing some names and I want to be sure that all those who deserve thanks are mentioned properly.
The photo I chose for the Homepage as I said represents two first, Kyles first Osceola and his guides first guiding opportunity. That young man's name is Joey Walker. Both Kyle and his dad said it was hard to figure out who was more excited when Kyle got his bird. Kyle or Joey. What makes it even more satifying for me is that Joey is my son. It is very gratifying as a lifelong hunter to see him now take the torch and run with it. Joey was a great kid and he is now fine young adult, who is now making time for the next generation of hunter to learn to love and respect our hunting heritage. I am extremely proud of all the young hunters who participated, they are all winners regardless of whether they were able to get a turkey, successful hunts are never measured in great trophies only great memories. I would be remiss as a father if I didn't add that I am also very proud of my son, Joey, great job. And great job to all the other guides.
Once again more to follow once I get the names.
Thank you
Jake Walker
